How to add weeks and days
- Add the weeks together.
- Add the days together.
- If the number of days is 7 or more do the following:
- Subtract 7 from the number of days.
- Increase the number of weeks by one.
- Repeat this process if the number of days is still 7 or more.
Example: Add 4 weeks 5 days plus 2 weeks 4 days.
- Add the weeks together. (4 weeks + 2 weeks = 6 weeks)
- Add the days together. (5 days + 4 days = 9 days)
- If the number of days is 7 or more do the following:
- Subtract 7 from the number of days. (9 days - 7 days = 2 days)
- Increase the number of weeks by one. (6 weeks + 1 week = 7 weeks)
- Repeat this process if the number of days is still 7 or more.
- Answer: 7 weeks 2 days
